Dual 20″ LCD’s, New Computers
Monday, May 14th, 2007Our company was started by programmers and computer nerds; we know the importance of having a nice “rig” (that’s geekspeak for a good computer system / setup)
We want everyone in the company to be happy and have the necessary equipment to get work done efficiently.
To that effect, we’ve decided that after 6 months of service to the company, all employees get dual 20″ LCD’s. So this past week, we ordered 5 or so 20″ LCD’s to spread throughout the office. Enjoy!
We Moved to a Bigger Office
Friday, May 11th, 2007Yesterday we moved to the suite next door to our old suite. We’re still located in the Emerging Technology Center’s incubator @ Eastern. The new office - at 897 square feet - gives us some more space and should accommodate a few more employees easily. Thanks to Greg, Abou and Scott for helping with the move. Special thanks to Scott who stayed with John and Yair till around midnight helping us setup all the desks in the new space!
Happy Birthday SmartLogic Solutions!
Thursday, May 10th, 2007Our company turns two years old today! Some highlights from the previous year:
- We hired Greg, Abou, Terence, Scott and Joseph
- We moved out of our apartments and into one office and then moved again into another office
- We’re working on larger and more interesting jobs - check out our Portfolio and this blog for more info
We have some grand plans for the next year, let’s see what we can get accomplished!
SLS Welcomes Scott Davis to the Team
Monday, May 7th, 2007Welcome to Scott Davis! We’ve hired Scott as an intern for the summer and hopefully longer. Scott is a fast learner, highly motivated, has a positive attitude and should be a great addition to the company. Scott’s first assignment is to learn Ruby on Rails (RoR) so that he can assist us with creating web applications. A few weeks before he started with us he had already bought up some RoR books and started learning the language/framework on his own - nice!
Recruiting Session at JHU Computer Science Department
Tuesday, April 10th, 2007Yesterday we held a “recruiting session” at the Johns Hopkins University Computer Science department. We are looking to hire one full-time employee and one or more summer interns.
Of course, there was pizza (9 total!) and some Ramen noodle packs as well. About a dozen students showed up for our talk - and then another dozen or so slackers showed up after our talk for some free food!
Thanks to everyone that came and if you’re interested in a career or internship with us, send us your resume.
